According to research conducted by Inman Real Estate magazine, and published in March 2025, there has been wide acceptance of the use of artificial intelligence by real estate agents.
I have used chatgpt.com for about one year. It has helped me in my writing of courses, contract writing and most of all, setting goals and making decisions. Then about a month ago I was shown GROK.com and it seems one step up from chatgpt because it is nearly conversational, which better interacts with follow up questions and reasoning.
Here are the statistics from the magazine article.
1 in 9
agents in late December said that AI tools have made them 'significantly' more productive
34%
of the agents who said AI made them 'significantly' more productive used it to summarize business documents — a share four times greater than seen with other agents
3 in 10
agents said that 'more than half' of their sellers have inquired about whether they're obligated to pay the buyer-side commission, although only 4% said as many of their sellers ended up taking a hardline stance
58%
of agents said their buyer pipelines were either unchanged or better off in late December than they were at the same time last year, the highest share since April
AI is much like a google search browser. When you enter your question in the AI browser take these four steps. (1) Explain who you are (e.g. I am a real estate agent). (2) Explain what you are trying to accomplish (Please provide a letter of 250 words to answer my question). (3) Provide any background data, perhaps cut and paste date or write out your thoughts on important information (e.g. my client is moving from Kansas City Kansas to begin the school year by June 1, 2025 in Los Angeles CA. Real Estate Prices are higher in Los Angeles and interest rates are high at this time. I want to sell a home but between higher prices and rates, I need the logic that would help me explain why they should buy. Then (4) write your question: please provide a letter to my client that would help them make a decision to buy in Los Angeles rather than put off buying and rent while they wait.
