CHECK WITH LICENSING
AUTHORITY AHEAD OF COURSE PURCHASE
By purchasing any of REMI
School products, you accept responsibility for ensuring the product meets the requirements
of the licensing authority of the State in which you intend to receive
credit. By purchasing any of REMI School products you agree and accept that REMI School sending you emails regarding your course status and credits. These emails are sent as a courtesy only. While REMI works to provide good
and accurate information to assist in decision-making, the licensing authority
is the official authority with definitive information and answers regarding
licensure requirements. Prior to acting on any information given to you by
REMI, you should confirm the accuracy, completeness, and datedness of the
information with the State licensing authority. REMI is purely a school and its scope its scope is to provide courses
and process completions of the courses you (in conjunction with the licensing
authority) determine are required for your license.
Following
completion of the course, it is your responsibility to ensure their course
credit / completions have been received by the State and that the customer /
licensee’s requirements have been met in full. In so doing, it is your responsibility to keep abreast of any deadlines,
changes to license requirements, etc. It
is your responsibility to complete the courses well ahead of any deadlines to
allow for processing or any unexpected circumstances (such as not being able to
receive credit for a course).
COURSE COMPLETION
CRITERIA
You will
want to receive credit for your course completion – this means you want to be
sure you have completed the course and any pre and post requisite steps
required for that course and process to be considered complete. Course completion criteria varies form State
to State. You are responsible for understanding
and completing the steps / criteria required for your course to be considered
complete, and consequently processed. In
many courses there is a time investment set by the State that is required to be
enforced by the school’s learning management system. For example, if you were to fast forward
through our audio, you skipped content and have shorted the clock hours such
that you have not met the State’s study and time requirements. This impacts your ability to receive
credits. For some States / courses
require you pass quizzes, exams, complete surveys, interactive exercises and,
or submit paperwork to REMI or a State entity / licensing authority. Once you
believe you have completed the course and required be sure to check for any
missing steps for completing the course criteria – if you are not sure, contact
REMI School or the State entity directly.
REMI in no way guarantees
you will receive a passing or favorable score on its courses or State licensing
exams. By using information and courses
provided by REMI, you release REMI School from any judgment, responsibility or
damages incurred by not passing the exams – to include not meeting employer
deadlines for current or prospective jobs.
LICENSE INFORMATION
It is the responsibility of the student to provide REMI School with the
student's correct and complete real estate license number and correct and
complete first and last name as is currently on record with the entity that
issued the student's license. REMI School is not responsible or liable for any
disciplinary action by any regulatory entity including, but not limited to,
late/ reinstatement fees or changes in license status to the licensee as a
result of incorrect license information provided by the student. The licensee /
student / customer is responsible for ensuring the name appropriately shows in
their account and on any certificates or paperwork generated by REMI School or
submitted by REMI School to yourself, the State, a Broker or any other entity.
COURSE CREDIT REPORTING /
PROCESSING TIME
Students
are responsible for ensuring REMI School has all of the information necessary
to complete the processing of their course completions (for example, license
numbers, State accounts, where applicable). Course completions are typically processed within 72 hrs, however, you
will want to allow 10 days to be safe. The date in which the course is indicated as complete will be the actual
date of completion as opposed to the date in which the completion is
processed.
At
times REMI School will ask you to provide certain information or complete
certain steps as a prerequisite to having your course completion processed. Many
times, it will require you provide a real estate license number of unique
identifier and perhaps complete a survey or set of quiz items. However,
sometimes other steps are required (ex: complete surveys, pass quizzes,
complete interactive activities, create an account with the State, get a paper
notarized ahead of taking a State licensing exam, etc. These are only examples – your requirements
may vary.
Certain
courses may require pre-requisites. For example, in certain States, you may
need to have a certain number of years as a Salesperson prior to applying to
become a Broker. Each State has their own requirements. You may need to take
certain courses prior to taking other courses.
It is
your responsibility to ensure that REMI School and the State have what they
need to process / receive your course completion. If you have any questions, be sure to contact
REMI School in a timely manner, at least ten days ahead of any deadlines. Properly pace yourself for any State specific
rules regarding how many credit hours are allowed to be completed per day. REMI will not be able to report completions
that are in violation of State restrictions on the amount of content or number
of courses that can be completed within a set time period.
Licensees
are responsible for completing their courses ahead of time to ensure proper
processing time for their credits to be reported ahead of any State deadlines.
Courses that expire ahead of their completion are not subject to partial credit
and will not count toward State licensing requirements. Courses for which inadequate information has
been provided (ex: real estate license numbers) may not be processed. Following each course completion, be
sure to check for any steps such as required surveys that must be completed for
your completion to be put in queue for processing. As an example, for years in Hawaii, the
State required an end-of-course survey – and unless this survey was completed, the
course was not able to be submitted for processing.
In some
States REMI School does NOT report your credits to the licensing authority! In
some States the licensee is fully responsible for maintaining records of their
certificates / records and, or submitting them to the State. In other words, there are certain States for
which REMI does not or is not permitted to submit your course completion on
your behalf. Instead, the State requires
you do so directly or to hold on to those records in case of audit etc. Lastly,
Your State may require you to hold a copy of your records for a certain number
of years. In some States, completion certificates do not need to be submitted
to the State unless by request / audit by the State’s licensing authority. It is your responsibility to keep copies of
your certificates / records handy. Be sure to be aware of your State’s process
to comply.

REMI
School is not authorized to accept transfers of courses / credits from other
organizations. To determine if you are
able to bypass any education requirements, please contact the respective
licensing authority directly.

case by case basis. Courtesy extensions
are subject to interruption and termination at any time as there are website
